ZZZ-Intro To Puppetry @11am (ages 13+)

THIS CLASS IS AGES 13 AND UP.
In this 2.5 hour crash course, TV puppeteer (Sesame Street, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood) introduces participants to the wide and wierd world of puppetry! Participants will get to live out their puppet dreams as Lott guides them though the techniques that bring characters to life. This delightful workshop is perfect for any Muppet nerd, fan of Jim Henson, or performer who is looking for some new skills.

Instructor: Spencer Lott

Spencer Lott has been a Sesame Street performer since 2014. In 2019, he originated the role of Samuel, Julia’s neurotypical older brother. Lott’s other TV credits include SNL, 

Helpsters (Apple+), Disney’s The Muppets (50th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade), Hello Tomorrow! (Apple+), Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Puppy Bowl, Fraggle Rock (The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade) and John Krasinski’s upcoming feature film Imaginary Friends. Lott helmed the team that recreated the iconic Mister Rogers’ puppets for the film A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (starring Tom Hanks) and he was also film’s lead puppeteer. He is the co-founder of Simple Mischief Studio, working on projects for HBO Max, Paramount, Hellosaurus and Nickelodeon.
